Exploration and Practice of Cultivating Interdisciplinary Top-notch Innovative Talents in Foreign Studies Universities Empowered by Artificial Intelligence

To implement the national strategy of digital education and tackle practical challenges plaguing traditional foreign studies universities—namely prominent disciplinary barriers, monotonous talent cultivation models, insufficient practical teaching scenarios, and rigid dimensions of teaching evaluation—this paper takes the multilingual and internationalized school-running characteristics of foreign studies universities as its foothold and explores the reconstruction path of an artificial intelligence-driven cultivation system for interdisciplinary top-notch innovative talents. Drawing upon contemporary theories of educational technology integration, interdisciplinary pedagogy, and competency-based education, the study proposes a comprehensive framework that leverages artificial intelligence technologies, including natural language processing, machine learning, and intelligent data analytics, to fundamentally reshape the educational ecosystem within foreign studies institutions. Systematic reform and practice are carried out across seven dimensions: iterative optimization of specialty layout, construction of a digital-intelligent curriculum system, co-establishment of characteristic industrial colleges, innovation of the ternary interactive teaching model, creation of autonomous learning spaces, tiered cultivation of teachers' digital literacy, and whole-process multi-dimensional intelligent evaluation. Each dimension is elaborated with concrete implementation strategies, institutional mechanisms, and assessment indicators to ensure practical feasibility and scalability. The findings demonstrate that artificial intelligence empowerment can effectively dissolve disciplinary silos, enrich pedagogical modalities, and foster the development of international talents equipped with cross-cultural competence, digital fluency, and innovative problem-solving capabilities. This research provides a replicable and promotable practical paradigm for the digital transformation of foreign studies universities and the cultivation of interdisciplinary international top-notch talents, offering valuable references for higher education institutions pursuing intelligent and integrated educational reforms globally.References
