Abstract

Artificial intelligence technologies represented by large language models are profoundly changing the software development paradigm and posing new challenges to the cultivation of software talent. As a core course for computer majors in application-oriented universities, Java Web Application Development generally suffers from outdated content, inauthentic practical projects, insufficient innovation training and a single assessment method. This paper couples the concept of AI co-creation with the mechanism of contest-education integration and constructs a dual-wheel-driven model for cultivating practical innovation capability. It presents the model framework at the levels of goal system, collaborative subjects and implementation path, and elaborates the implementation route from four dimensions: curriculum reconstruction, teaching method reform, a three-tier project gradient and a multi-dimensional evaluation system. A one-academic-year controlled teaching experiment shows that the experimental class significantly outperforms the control class in course grades, practical innovation capability scores and contest awards, with particularly marked gains in innovative thinking and problem solving. The model effectively improves teaching quality and students' practical innovation capability and can serve as a reference for similar course reforms.
