Abstract

Based on the theory of ecological linguistics, this study takes nursing students as the research object and analyzes the contradiction between their English learning needs and the current teaching situation through a questionnaire survey. The research finds that there are multiple disconnections between students and the existing teaching system in terms of learning goals, content preferences, teaching methods, and career orientation. Therefore, this study constructs an English teaching ecosystem model centered on the "dynamic expansion of students' ecological niches", promoting the coordinated development of all elements within the system by integrating teaching content, innovating teaching methods, optimizing the evaluation system, and strengthening environmental support. This model aims to enhance the adaptability and effectiveness of teaching and provide theoretical references and practical paths for the reform of English teaching in vocational undergraduate education.
