Comprising leading researchers and domain specialists worldwide, our board members provide strategic direction, oversee referee evaluations, and ensure the rigorous dissemination of high-impact open-access research.

The Editor-in-Chief provides overall scientific vision and strategic direction for the journal, ensuring the highest standards of peer review and editorial compliance.

Core Mandates & Responsibilities:
  • Directing journal scope, editorial policy, and long-term academic development.
  • Overseeing the peer-review process and making final publication adjudications on manuscripts.
  • Serving as chief academic ambassador for the journal, SOAP, and open-research principles.
  • Upholding international publication ethics in alignment with COPE benchmarks.

Board Members evaluate submissions in their subject expertise, recommend editorial decisions, and advise on journal development strategies.

Core Mandates & Responsibilities:
  • Conducting academic pre-checks and recommending decisions on new submissions in their field.
  • Managing referee evaluations and serving as peer reviewers for critical manuscripts.
  • Advising on journal policy, special collection proposals, and quality metrics.
  • Promoting journal visibility within international academic conferences and scholarly networks.

Tier III: Thematic & Section Curators

Special Issue Guest Editors

Guest Editors lead focused, high-impact special collections addressing emerging research frontiers.

  • • Define Special Collection scope and submission call.
  • • Oversee referee selection and peer-review quality.
  • • Coordinate with the Editorial Office on collection publication.

Section & Topical Editors

Topical Editors foster interdisciplinary research sections and maintain section alignment with journal goals.

  • • Supervise specific sub-disciplinary journal sections.
  • • Engage leading researchers to contribute state-of-the-art work.
  • • Assist in resolving complex review evaluations.
